High Speed Network Monitoring and Analysis Technology

Project Summary

Investigate the applicability of high-performance (gigabit class) network sensors to provide enhanced counter terrorism cyber capabilities. This work augments the DOE-funded NIW Sensor project. The additional effort will research network signatures consistent with counter terrorism objectives, and it will begin the development of algorithms leading toward integration of the algorithms into the NIW Sensor instrument. Final paper "Detecting Attacks in Computer Networks" submitted.
