ISTS Information Pamphlet
We propose to create and maintain a comprehensive data resource of all possible types of Electronic Commerce (EC) risks and misuse called E-Commerce Risk Data Center (ecomRISK). To develop an educational and research infrastructure which enables a US citizen to gain a broad understanding of the risks and potentials in E-Commerce in one, easy to understand and access interactive resource.
This project aims to develop a web site and database for information dissemination and education on security issues in electronic commerce. E-commerce systems are vital to US commerce and, as such, their security is of national interest. These systems are often principal targets of cyber attack that can paralyze entire industries. To prepare against future attacks, it is important to collect information about known attacks and thus provide context for understanding new attacks.
