Digital Tampering & Secrets

Project Summary

Our goal is the development of computational techniques for the detection of various forms of digital tampering in images and audio. Our intended audience is agencies responsible for digital forensics and prosecution of digital crimes.

We have completed the porting of several digital image forensic tools from MatLab to Java. We plan to distribute this Java-based software code to law enforcement agencies. We freely distribute the code and the FBI forensic lab has licensed the code.

We have developed several new digital image forensic tools, two new video forensics tools, and one audio forensic tool.
