Hosting and co-chairing with NIJ, a "Summit" of representatives from agencies engaged in ADL development. Dissemination of knowledge, tools, methods, and techniques for ADL development, via workshops and paper and online documents. This project lead into the VTRA project.
On January 23-25 of 2002, The National Institute of Justice and the Institute for Security Technology Studies at Dartmouth College hosted a Summit workshop that considered the application of Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) to enhance the capability of State and local jurisdictions to prepare for and respond to terrorism events that involve weapons of mass destruction. The primary focus of the Summit was the coordination of training for first responders including fire and rescue, law enforcement, emergency medical services, emergency management, and hazardous materials technicians.
