Over-Exposure in the Digital World

Sergey Bratus is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at Dartmouth College where he has taught the “Computer Security and Privacy” course. His current research focuses on applications of machine learning and AI to intrusion analysis. He is interested in all aspects of Unix security, in particular in Linux kernel security, and detection and reverse engineering of Linux malware. His other interests are in the application of Natural Language Processing and P2P networking applications for Semantic Web initiatives.
Sergey received his undergraduate education at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (AKA, Moscow Phystech), and his Ph.D. at Northeastern University (1999). Before coming to Dartmouth, he worked at BBN Technologies on statistical learning for text understanding and similar topics.
