Panel Abstract

Mobile sensing of the human body is becoming increasingly pervasive with the advent of personal devices capable of collecting, processing, and storing large of amounts of data about physiology and activity. This panel discussed security challenges and privacy concerns raised by patient-centric mHealth technologies: ensuring users are aware of what information is being collected, are given usable control over who has access to the data, and are not vulnerable to cyber-attack of their body-area network.
