Douglas Blough, PhD

Douglas Blough

Douglas Blough received the Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Johns Hopkins University in 1988. He has held faculty positions at the University of California, Irvine and the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he is currently Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and of Computer Science, and he is a member of the Georgia Tech Information Security Center (GTISC). He has published numerous articles in leading journals and conferences on information security and privacy (publications available at http://www.ece.gatech.edu/~dblough/research). He is Principal Investigator of the NSF-sponsored “MedVault” project (http://medvault.gtisc.gatech.edu), which is studying mechanisms and policies for maintaining security and privacy of sensitive health information in electronic health record sharing environments.
