We were very pleased to have the following group of presenters for the 2013 conference.
- Dan Geer - Chief Information Security Officer of In-Q-Tel delivered the keynote
- Michael Corn - Chief Privacy and Security Officer of UIUC discussed privacy in higher ed (see his EDUCAUSE article co-authored with Jane Rosenthal, Director of the Privacy Office at the University of Kansas)
- Noel Greis - Director, Center for Logistics and Digital Strategy, Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise at UNC Chapel Hill, spoke about security awareness for millennials (see The Millennial Cybersecurity Project report)
- Rodney Petersen - Managing Director of the Washington Office and Senior Government Relations Officer at EDUCAUSE provided an update on government policies and their potential effects on the higher ed community
- Ron Ross - Fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) spoke on standards development and risk management
- George Tubin - Senior Security Strategist at Trusteer spoke about emerging malware trends
- David Sherry - Chief Information Security Officer at Brown University led a session on the EDUCAUSE Identity and Access Management Toolkit
- Sean Smith - Professor of Computer Science at Dartmouth discussed his research on misperception and security
- Emily Eckland - Director of Digital Strategy & Awareness Campaigns at the National Cyber Security Alliance led a panel discussion on K-12 security awareness
- Richard Biever, Chief Information Security Officer at Duke University, and Shilen Patel, Senior IT Analyst at Duke University co-led a break-out session on multi-factor authentication with Dartmouth's Adam Goldstein and Sean McNamara
