Jeffrey Young

Jeffrey Young is a Senior Writer for The Chronicle of Higher Education. Technology and its impact on campus and society have been the main focus of Young's writing and multimedia work in his more than 10 years at The Chronicle. He has also covered admissions, student life, federal policy, and many other topics. He has been involved with efforts to use new technology at the newspaper, most recently producing video reports and podcasts for the Web.

Young was named a Science Journalism Laureate by Purdue University in 2006, and one of his articles was selected for the book, The Best of Technology Writing 2007. His articles have also appeared in The New York Times, The Industry Standard, and AARP The Magazine. Young earned a bachelor's degree from Princeton University and a master's degree in communication, culture, and technology from Georgetown University.
